------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Project Explanation ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ boxptl_* Filenames starting with boxptl_ contain general particles from the simulation and know nothing about galaxies. Those datasets are useful for computing lensing. Numbers such as _20m and _50m indicate the number of particles in the files (e.g., 20 million). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ stellarmaps Stellar maps of massive galaxies, typically centrals only. For each galaxy, the maps are split into insitu/exsitu and into particles bound to the galaxy (subhalo), particles in other subhalos in the same FOF group, and particles not bound to any other subhalo (fuzz). The maps come in low and high resolution (lr and hr), corresponding to the same number of pixels but different physical extents of the maps. agez Similar to stellarmaps, but with maps of stellar metallicity and age and only for bound particles. rsd Galaxy catalogs with halo mass accretion histories (MAHs). The key is that there are files for both baryonic and dark-only simulations, with matched halo IDs. clusterfinder Stellar maps for massive galaxies including centrals and satellites, as well as star formation histories (SFHs) and MAHs for the halos, the former split by insitu and exsitu. catalog Mostly catalog data, but for a larger mass range. The files can also contain additional non-catalog fields such as the insitu mass fraction.
